German Film Fest In Trivandrum (Kerala)

The Goethe-Zentrum Max Mueller Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram is organising a German Film Festival at its amphitheatre from 27 to 31 April. Noted film maker Adoor Gopalakrishnan will inaugurate the Festival on Monday at 6.30 p.m. Well acclaimed films including some nominated for the Oscar from the contemporary German film world will be screened during the festival. Inaugural day film is “Goodbye Lenin” by Wolfgang Becker. Other films are “Ein Freund von mir” (A friend of mine) by Sebastian Schipper, “Nirgendwo in Afrika” (Nowhere in Africa) by Carolin Link, “Emmas Glueck” (Emma’s Luck) by Sven Teddicken and “Kebab Connection” by Anno Saul. The show will start every evening at 6.30 p.m. The entry is restricted to 150 persons. For entry passes, contact the Goethe Zentrum at 3013018 or 3013019. All the films are in German with English subtitles.
