Rajkumar Hirani's third film as director stars Aamir Khan (LAGAAN) and Kareena Kapoor, appearing together for the first time. "3 Idiots", a satire on the educational system, started its principal photography in August 2008. Two schedules- one in Bangalore and another in Ladakh and Simla, have been completed successfully. The Ladakh schedule was disrupted due to unprecedented bad weather but despite the adverse conditions the crew made a quick shift of base and continued the shoot in Simla.
The cast and crew will be leaving for a month long schedule in Bangalore soon.
